When I was a kid – I must have been six or seven years old – my mom’s dear friend Rita used to take us on these incredible trips to Palm Desert in California, where we would sip on date shakes and chill in the sun while blasting “The Heat Is On,” by Glenn Frey, in her fab Cadillac! That was my first experience with the “Date Shake.” I’ll never forget my first sip: creamy, sweet, delicate, and delicious. With a boost from bitter taste from the dandelion, you will so love this power-punch of greens.
1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup dandelion greens
2 cups baby spinach
1 frozen banana
3 dried dates, pitted
1 cup ice
Add ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
