Candice's Fresh Rosemary Lemonade

This elegant summertime fave isn’t just for the ladies; the rosemary gives it a twist that makes even the toughest dudes ask for a refill. Serve it up over ice in Ginger Sugar–rimmed glasses or mason jars.

Makes 4 to 6 servings

 

Lemon-rosemary simple syrup

1⁄2 cup fresh lemon juice

1/2 cups sugar

2 cups water

2 rosemary sprigs, each approximately 8 inches long

 

Ginger sugar

1⁄4 cup Sugar in the Raw (or as needed)

1 teaspoon ginger powder

 

For the bar

Ginger Sugar, to rim the glasses Mason jars or glasses

Ice cubes

Premium vodka

Chilled seltzer water (optional, if you want it fizzy!)

Rosemary sprigs, to garnish

 

To make the syrup

Begin by making the Lemon-Rosemary Simple Syrup. In a small saucepan, combine the lemon juice, sugar, water, and rosemary sprigs. Simmer gently over low heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has completely dissolved. Continue to simmer for another 2 minutes. Set the mixture aside to cool. Discard the rosemary sprigs.

To make the ginger sugar

In a small mixing bowl, combine the Sugar in the Raw and ginger powder, mixing well to incorporate. Place the Ginger Sugar on a small plate. Using a clean, wet sponge or paper towel, wet the rims of the glasses and press them into the Ginger Sugar to beautifully rim each glass.

To serve

Fill your Ginger Sugar–rimmed glasses with ice. Add approximately 2 parts Lemon-Rosemary Simple Syrup to 1 part vodka. Finish off with seltzer water, if desired, and garnish with a rosemary sprig. Be fabulous this summer! xxx ck
